Edward Elsner specializes in library technology and marketing. Call or email him to ask a free question and see what he can do to help your library with training, migrating automation systems, increasing visibility, or improving public relations.
Edward Elsner's library experience includes directing, collection development, marketing, reference, circulation, children's services, technical services, and computer technology. He had the cover article for the July/August 2001 and the July/August 2002 issue of Public Libraries magazine. Edward Elsner has worked in libraries in Kentucky and Michigan for the last 9 years. Edward has worked with Sirsi's Unicorn and iBistro software as both a user and system administrator setting up and customizing various libraries in a multi-type automation consortium and is now using Autographic's Verso system. He has automated six libraries and migrated six others to new automation software.
He has a B.S.M.E. from Kettering University (formerly GMI) in Flint, MI and a M.L.S. from the University of Kentucky. He is the Director of the Delton District Library north of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo after two successful years of running the Crawford County Library in Grayling, Michigan. Under his leadership the Crawford County Library opened a brand new main building and saw its usage quintuple! The Delton District Library is constantly receiving compliments for all great programming and their friendly, helpful staff. We appear to do tons of stuff because we are always sharing articles with the local and regional papers.
Working from the homes of all my many family and friends in Michigan and the midwest. Mileage will be calculated from the closest place to your library.
